Enesco’s “Roumanian Rhapsody No. 2” was recorded in Wembly Town Hall on June 14, 1960 with three Telefunken 201 microphones. It was first released on SR90235. Brhams’s “Hungarian Dances” on tracks 2-8 and the “Haydn Variations” were recorded July 6, 7, and 9, 1957 using one Telefunken 201 and two M56 microphones. These works were first released as SR90154. Brahms’s “Hungarian Dances” on tracks 9-17 were recorded on July 31 and August 2, 1965 and released on SR90437. All works were recorded on 3-track half-inch tape and, except for the Enesco, the sessions were held in Watford Town Hall.
