The Zampa and Crown Diamonds Overtures were recorded November 19, 1960, the Saint-Saëns Bacchanale on March 11, 1961. All were recorded on 3-track half-inch tape. The Faust excerpts, the Bizet Danse Bohemème, the Royal Hunt and Storm, The Phèdre Overture, and the Gavotte from Mignon were recorded on March 17, 1962, using 3-track 35mm magnetic film. All works were recorded at Cass Technical High School in Detroit, using three Telefunken 201 microphones.
Only ORIGINAL MASTERS used for transfer to Compact Disc.
